How Do I Search for a Local Business or Professional?

1. In the search box above, enter the type of business you're looking for (like "plumber" or "veterinarian" or "auto repair") or the name of the business.
2. Enter your location in the "city, state, zip" box. (The zip code is preferable).
3. Select the "Area of Search" dropdown box to increase or decrease your search radius (5 to 100 miles).
4. Click the "Go" button.
5. Gold Listings (listings with logos and more information) appear at the top of the search results and are sorted by average rating from highest to lowest. All other businesses with reviews appear next and are sorted by average rating from highest to lowest. Businesses with no reviews appear next in alphabetical order.
6. Users have the ability to change the way their listings are sorted. Besides "ratings," the other options are "distance" and "name."
7. To see more information about a business or read their reviews, simply click on the business name in the search results.

Here are some tips for improving your search results:

1. Carefully check your spelling of the business name or category.
2. As a general rule, the more words you type into the search box, the fewer results you will receive.
3. When entering search terms, leave out generic words like "store," "shop" or "service."
